Mr. Wiens
April 15, 2026
March has been a busy and exciting month in our classroom, filled with meaningful learning experiences and opportunities to explore beyond our school walls.
We had the chance to go on two wonderful field trips. Our first trip was to Manitoba Theatre for Young People (MTYP), where students watched Doodle Pop. This performance was a great introduction to live theatre and highlighted how technology and art can come together in creative and engaging ways. Students were highly engaged and asked thoughtful questions about what they saw.
Our second field trip took us to the Manitoba Children’s Museum, where students explored structures and materials through hands-on learning. It was wonderful to see their curiosity in action as they built, tested, and experimented with different materials.
In Social Studies, we have been learning about Canadian communities, focusing on Prince Edward Island and Nunavut. Students have been developing their understanding of how communities can be both similar and different. After the break, we are looking forward to expanding our learning by exploring communities from around the world.
Thank you to all the families who were able to attend parent-teacher conferences. It was truly a pleasure connecting with you, sharing student progress, and celebrating the learning that has taken place so far this year.
