Our Parent–Teacher Conferences in November were a great success. Thank you to all the parents for supporting your children’s learning.
In ELA, Students are practicing writing simple sentences and developing their spelling skills through coping words. They are also beginning to apply their phonics knowledge as they read, spell, and write more with the help of adults.
In Math, students have been practicing counting by 2s, 5s, and 10s, and they continue using manipulatives to help them add digits together. They are also learning the importance of numbers in real world situations, helping them understand how math is used every day.
In December, we will begin learning about 2D shapes. Students will explore the characteristics of circles, squares, triangles, rectangles, and more through hands on activities, drawings, and sorting exercises. This unit will help them identify shapes in their environment and recognize them in their everyday lives.
