For many kids, leaving school on Friday means a weekend of friends, playing sports and participating in other fun activities. For many others, it means two days of worrying about when or if they will eat, and returning to school hungry. To address this need, Winnipeg Harvest has partnered with Family Nurse Practitioner Parusia Purohit and the Breakfast Club of Canada to launch our newest program – Breakfast2Go. Our objective is to bridge the weekend food gap by providing nutritious foods to vulnerable kids on the weekend.
